Join our introductory evening classes to get a taster into this fascinating language.
Evening Arabic language classes are for complete beginners (no previous knowledge required) and take place on Tuesdays from 18.00-20.00.
Beginners 1 will run for 10 weeks with Beginners 2 running for an additional 10 weeks.
To be able to join Beginners 2, you will need attend all Beginners 1 classes and complete assigned tasks or have an equivalent level of knowledge.
Please note, that each term, classes are subject to numbers.

Beginners 1 is for complete beginners of Modern Standard Arabic and you will learn to express yourself at a very basic level of Arabic language. You will also be introduced to the essentials of the Arabic writing system and learn to read and write basic words and sentences. The programme will be delivered in English and Arabic where you will be exposed to basic Arabic grammar and vocabulary, while developing the skills of comprehension in the target language.
There will be 20 hours of teaching over 10 weeks with an additional 10 hours of guided independent learning using materials and feedback from the tutor expected. All materials will be provided by the tutor and no resources are required.
