Partnerships

The College is delighted to work with partners in the UK and overseas. We have different types of partnership and welcome any new ideas for working together.

Teaching & Academic Partnerships

The objective of the Al-Maktoum College, since it’s foundation, has been to establish itself as an internationally acclaimed, independent, free standing college of higher education. To get there, it has been necessary to form links with several partner institutions, and to enable the College to engage in teaching and award degrees under the auspices of these institutions.

In developing our role as a private college of higher education, working with strong, and world-class academic partners such as the University of Dundee, Trinity College Dublin and Abertay University is an essential part of our potential for success, and remains at the top of our agenda.

We continue to explore further possible links which would enhance our provision and further strengthen our position.

Academic Training Programme (ATP) in Multiculturalism and Leadership

The ATP prepares students to work within a multicultural, globalised world, and aims to help them to reflect on issues of leadership in preparation for them developing their skills and careers in this direction (in any field of practice).

The programme is deliberately intensive, with an academic focus. Therefore, participating students are expected to commit themselves fully to all activities and demonstrate that their attendance on the programme in Scotland is for educational purposes. Students attend lectures, participate in discussions and debates, and produce written and assessed coursework to demonstrate their engagement with the academic issues of the programme.

International Summer School

The 4-week summer school is a unique experience that allows students to immerse themselves into an exciting cultural exchange programme. It is intended to give students a global awareness within the international and multicultural ethos of the the College.

Students will study the key contemporary global issues of multiculturalism, leadership, cultural engagement and global awareness. Students will take part in classes, tutorials and discussions and social and cultural activities.
