Al-Maktoum College of Higher Education hosted the fourth Building Bridges Symposium at its campus this week (November 14).
It was held in conjunction with Scottish Interfaith Week with the title, “Eat Share Love.”
Dr Abi Abubaker, College Secretary and Acting Head of College, said it had proved, once again, to be an inspiring and interesting day very much aimed at promoting mutual respect and understanding.
“We set out to offer a Symposium that appealed to as many people as possible in the community,” said Dr Abubaker.
“With expert speakers, spirited panel discussions, enlightening presentations and interactive workshop sessions there was a sharing of views to benefit those seeking to build bridges of friendship while expanding interfaith trust.
“We are grateful to our speakers, to Scottish Interfaith Week for all their input and help in the run-up to the Symposium, and to the delegates who attended as they clearly embrace diversity, tolerance and positive dialogue between different faith groups.”
