Mr Mohammed Obaid Bin Ghannam

Mr Mohammed Obaid Bin Ghannam was born in Dubai, 1949. He attended high school in Dubai and completed the General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) in England in 1971. He joined Perth Aeronautical College and completed a Higher National Diploma in Aeronautical Engineering in Perth, Scotland (1977 -1979). In 1979 he gained Civil Maintenance Engineer Licenses from the British Civil Aviation Authority.

He was appointed as Staff Officer in the National Federal Assembly (1972-1976). He joined the United Arab Emirates Air Force with a rank of Cadet Officer in 1976. He was then promoted to Aircraft Maintenance officer course in United States Air Force (1981-1982) and then appointed Military Attach Assistant Officer in Paris, France (1985-1990). He was then promoted to Deputy Commander Assistant Air Force Logistics and Supply in United Arab Emirates Air Force (1996-1999). In March 1999 he was retired from United Arab Emirates Air Force as a Staff Colonel.

In 2000, Mohammed Obaid bin Ghannam was appointed by H.H Shaikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al-Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai as the Secretary-General of Al-Maktoum Foundation.
