Summer School students make first visit to charity Police Treatment Centre

As the Summer School programme approaches the end of its second week, participating students were invited to the Police Treatment Centre, based in Auchterarder.

The Police Treatment Centre is a registered charity, looking to promote and improve the health and wellbeing of active and retired Police Officers.

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum and The Deputy Ruler of Dubai have both previously donated to the treatment centre though the Al-Maktoum Foundation, and continue to support its future development plans.

Graham Addison, Donor Engagement Officer, and Paul Grant, Centre Manager and Deputy CEO, amongst others, welcomed students to the treatment centre and introduced the charities work, services and ambitions.

Students enjoyed tea and cakes before touring the centre’s grounds and facilities, including physio suites, hydrotherapy pools, gym studios and a sports hall.

This is the first time Al-Maktoum College has visited the treatment centre as part of the Summer School programme. Dr A G Abubaker, Acting Head of College, expressed his gratitude for the centres hospitality and looks forward to future visits.
