Festive Period Closure

The College will close for the festive break on Friday 24 December and reopen on Wednesday 5 January 2022.

Semester 2 teaching will commence Monday 17 January 2022. While the College remains hopeful for as much face-to-face teaching as possible, in light of recent COVID-19 developments, all teaching will be carried out online for a period of 2 weeks at the start of the semester. We are currently monitoring the situation and will review teaching arrangements as the situation develops. In the meantime, classes will continue to be delivered online via Microsoft Teams (MS Teams) or Zoom, and students will be required to join their scheduled virtual classes.

College facilities including the Library, dining area, I.T Suite, study and social spaces, will therefore be unavailable to students during this 2 week period.

The College is fully committed to ensuring the safety of our staff and students, and we look forward to welcoming new and returning students to our campus again soon. We will continue to communicate on a regular basis to provide guidance and advice and to highlight any changes in our approach. We would like to emphasise that the College will continue to operate in line with public health, UK and Scottish Government guidance.

We’ll provide further information when available but, in the meantime, please continue to check your emails and the website for updates.

From all of us at Al-Maktoum College, enjoy the festive period and best wishes for a happy & healthy New year.
