The Al-Maktoum College of Higher Education is delighted to have been awarded Gold status membership to the British Quality Foundation – a prestigious organisation with a rich history in promoting quality and good practice in British business.

The initial desire to gain membership to the BQF came from the alignment of the core values and visions for the future of the BQF and Al-Maktoum College. Their goal to encourage and support organisations aiming to achieve business excellence resonates deeply with our own goals to provide top-quality teaching and learning, enriched by a multicultural perspective, making for a rewarding and profound educational experience.

This synergy between our organisations makes it all-the-more meaningful for us to be upgraded to Gold status membership by the BQF.

In addition to our Gold membership, Al-Maktoum College is proud to be a partner of the BQF and the official sponsor of their award for Excellence in Equality, Diversity and Inclusion. This award recognises those who are helping people in today’s society achieve their goals, hopes, dreams and ambitions, and creating the environment where everyone can be their whole and best self. Head of College and Vice-Chancellor, Dr Abi Abubaker, was in attendance at the last BQF awards ceremony and presented the aforementioned award. The BQF is under the patronage of Her Royal Highness, The Princess Royal.

Dr Abubaker had this to say:

“We look forward to seeing what the future holds for both organisations, as well as for our partnership. We are certain that our futures will be bright and the work we do will be of the highest quality.”
