Al Maktoum College of Higher Education Forges Educational Partnership with Abertay University and Alamein International University

Al Maktoum College of Higher Education has signed an agreement with Abertay University and Alamein International University to develop a joint Master’s programme.
Students will have the unique opportunity to pursue an MBA and an MSc in business in a programme spanning two years. The first academic year will be spent at AIU in Egypt where students will earn an MBA degree in business. Following the successful completion of the second academic year, administered by Abertay University and Al Maktoum College of Higher Education in Dundee, students will graduate with an MBA degree in business from AIU and a MSc from Abertay University.
This partnership represents a significant milestone in advancing academic cooperation and fostering cultural exchange between Al Maktoum College in Scotland, Abertay University, and AIU. Through this collaboration, students gain access to distinguished and globally recognised education in their areas of interest, thereby enhancing their professional prospects, contributing to community development, and supporting sustainable economic growth.
Professor Dr. Essam El Kordi, President of AIU, said: “We are thrilled to embark on this journey of academic collaboration with Abertay University and Al Maktoum College of Higher Education. The signing ceremony on September 18 was attended by esteemed representatives of each partner, including Professor Dr. Essam El Kordi, President of AIU, Professor Dr Hesham Gaber, Vice President of AIU for Academic Affairs, Professor Dr Mostafa El-Nainay, Dean of the College of Computer Science and Engineering, and Professor Dr Maged Farouk, Advisor to the President of AIU for Administrative and Information Systems.
Representing Abertay University and Al Maktoum College were Professor Alastair Irons, Deputy Vice Chancellor, Claire MacEachen, Dean of International and UK Partnerships at Abertay University, and Professor of Computer Science at Abertay University, Dr Abi Abubaker, Principal and Vice Chancellor at Al Maktoum College of Higher Education, and Dr Alaa Garad, Director of Academic Programmes.
