After arriving at a port of entry to the UK, you will have to pass through immigration control. You should have the following documents with you, ready for checking:
By plane
Scotland has 3 international airports; Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Glasgow. You can fly directly to Scotland or come via London in the UK (1 hour from London to Scotland). Dundee also has a small airport with daily flights from London Stansted.
From Edinburgh airport
By car
2 hours. Catch the tram or bus into the city centre, then catch a train or bus to Dundee. You can also get off the tram at Edinburgh Gateway where trains to Dundee pass through.
From Glasgow Airport
By car
1.5-hour drive. Car rental is available at the terminal. Pre-booked taxis are also available.
By train or bus
3 hours. Catch the bus into the city centre, then catch a train or bus to Dundee.
There are direct trains from London to Dundee, the journey takes around 6 hours. There is also an overnight sleeper train which leave London at 9pm and arrives into Dundee at 6am. Plan your journey here
