The College campus offers an inspiring, relaxed and friendly atmosphere for both teaching and learning. It provides everything students may need during their studies and is conveniently located close to the City Centre, Abertay University and the University of Dundee.
Inside the College, facilities are of an excellent standard and the College continues to invest in these facilities, to ensure it is providing the best services for its students.
College facilities including the library, dining area, I.T Suite, study and social spaces, will be available to students during Semester 1 with procedures in place. If you wish to attend the College outwith scheduled face-to-face teaching, you should make the College aware prior to your arrival at the building. Please arrange by calling 01382 908070 between the hours of 9.00-12.00 and 13.00-16.30. Students attending the College outwith scheduled face-to-face teaching will also be required to complete a ‘track & trace’ form. Please keep in mind that access to computers and study spaces will be limited.
Teaching is carried out through a combination of lectures and tutorials; independent study is also expected. The College has one large lecture theatre in use and several smaller seminar rooms.
Students may be assessed through written essays, class tests, exams, presentations, group work and participation through the Virtual Learning Environment- Moodle.
Each member of teaching staff has designated office hours in which students may visit for extra support.
In addition to teaching spaces, students may want to make use of the Shaikh Hamdan Library, the Shaikh Maktoum Gardens, I.T suite, Student Hub and Common Room containing a TV, seating, and vending machines.
College students are eligible for discounted prices at the University of Dundee’s Institute of Sport and Exercise.
Currently, parking facilities are not available to students. If possible, alternative forms of transport to and from the College are encouraged.
The Shaikh Hamdan Library, located on the Ground floor the College, impressively houses a large collection of Arabic, Middle Eastern and Islamic readings. Students and visitors alike have access to over 23,000 volumes spread across two rooms:
Mostly reference works on a variety of subjects, all in Arabic.
Lending and reference work related to currently-taught programmes on a variety of subjects, all in English.

The library also provides study and research space for students, equipped with computers and sufficient desk space.
