Hi, my name is Aminah, and I work as a Student Recruitment and Marketing Assistant at Al-Maktoum College. I’m 22 years old, born and raised in Dundee, Scotland. In my free time, I enjoy reading, writing, spending time with my cat and going for long walks while listening to good music. I’ve studied a couple of different courses since leaving high school but ultimately decided that I wanted to write. I am currently studying an online creative writing course and working on the first draft of a manuscript for my fictional fantasy book. While I love to write, I appreciate that becoming an established author is no easy feat, which is why I’m keeping my options open.
My time at Al-Maktoum College has been great so far. Everyone has been very welcoming and friendly, both my co-workers and the students that I have had the chance to meet. Such a diverse and accepting environment is rare but very refreshing. It didn’t take me long to understand why so many students from all over the world choose to study at Al-Maktoum College.
