Funding will be administered through Dundee Volunteer and Voluntary Action on behalf of Al-Maktoum Community Grants fund. Applications will be made available via the Dundee Volunteer & Voluntary Action Group website in due course.

The Al-Maktoum Community Grant Fund has been supporting community groups and charities in Dundee and the surrounding area since its formation in 2009. Its impact has been considerable, with more than £120,000 granted over the years to those who have sought financial assistance.

Eligibility 

The Fund is to be used to support registered charities and constituted community groups based in Dundee and within a 25 mile radius of the city operating in the field(s) of:

  • learning and education
  • multiculturalism and interfaith engagement
  • youth development
  • opportunities for those with a physical or learning disabilities
  • helping people overcome challenges in the face of adversity

Funding available 

There is £20,000 available in total for 2019-20. There will be two rounds of funding and an evaluation between now and 31 July 2020. Organisations can apply for grants of up to £2,000
